Sample of Work (Math 190)

Sample of Work (Math 190)

Math 190 is better known as Calculus I. This class starts with the ending of calculus and goes all the way through the process of anti-derivatives. Calculus is heavily based on lecture, online homework and exams which leaves little of my own work to display. Though my own work is not needed to provide an example of what is done in this class because Notes 3.3 can be used as an example. Each class starts with notes from Professor Fatula and we work through the examples as we learn new techniques to solving problems. The chosen work samples me learning the derivatives of trigonometric functions such as sin(x) and cos(x). The work shows how to do these derivatives asĀ  well as examples of trigonometric functions which you can use to practice doing this math. This example is one of many that could have been included as calculus is a topic with a wide range of mathematics used. I chose this specific one in particular because I believe it embodies the difficulty of calculus well. Calculus is difficult but with proper education it is easy to learn. 3.3 shows that even math which does not focus primarily on numbers is a form of math which people can learn with time and practice.
